(The battlefield of the mind)
The Journey is mired with obstacles. A lot of obstacles we go through are emotional, spiritual, and psychological in our minds. You may be going through the regrets, âwoulda, coulda, shouldaâ etc. this is pointless. The thoughts of what is going on could be tearing you apart. You are physically okay but not so much in your head. This tears up your soul. But in Psalm 23 the Lord says he will restore your soul.
Psalm 23: 1-3
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He refreshes my soul.
When we go through in our mind, the separation and maybe even divorce from our wife, the things we have done or our failures, the things your dear wife has done or is currently doing can all be traumatic. Our souls are torn to pieces. It may be partially why you are in so much emotional, spiritual and psychological pain. But the Lord promises to restore your soul. Before we do this, we need to start walking in faith to remove the obstacles in our minds. These obstacles are things such as fear of the future, fear of bad news, anxiety, regrets etc.
You are soon going to rule over your situation, believe that!
Deuteronomy 28:13
And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
It is my testimony that I have seen a lot of men change. When they come to RMI they are crippled  by anxiety, not able to function, walking through the realm of high agitation or low and depressed states; where the circumstances were like a flood and they were drowning.
I know it feels like all circumstances are all on top of you. This is only for now. God will remove this obstacle in your mind. Some guys could not even go to work, they had lost all focus and zeal for their jobs. Now they are thriving at work!
Once again you must be in the word, you must be in worship for this to happen, you have to be declaring victory, you have to get up in the morning and report to the battlefield. The children of Israel did not stay in bed despite the Lord giving them the victory. They had to turn up on the battlefield.
Every emotional, mental challenge you go through he is aware! The Lord will give you back your focus, he will give you back your zeal to work, your will to succeed, you will overcome the crushed state you are now feeling. He will restore your soul.
