“And I searched for a man among them
who should build up the wall and
stand in the gap before Me
for the land, that I should not destroy it;
but I found no one.”

“Dear Heavenly Father, I enter into my place of prayer, now that I have shut the door, I pray to you my Father in secret. And as you see me here in secret you will reward me openly. It is written that all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

“Caro Padre celeste, entro nella mia stanza di preghiera e chiusa la porta, prego Te, Padre mio, in segreto. Tu, che vedi nel segreto, mi darai la ricompensa in pubblico. È scritto che tutte le cose che domando in preghiera, se ho fede, le riceverò”.

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee; my soul longs for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. Lord, there is no one besides Thee to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so help us, O Lord our God, for we trust in Thee, and in Thy name have come against this multitude. O Lord, Thou art my God; let not man prevail against Thee.

“O Dio, tu sei il mio Dio, io ti cerco dall’alba; di te è assetata l’anima mia, a te anela il mio corpo languente in arida terra, senz’acqua. Signore, non c’è nessuno oltre a te, che possa aiutare nella battaglia tra i potenti e coloro che non hanno forza; soccorrici, Signore nostro Dio. Poiché su di te noi ci appoggiamo e nel tuo nome siamo venuti contro questa moltitudine. Tu sei il Signore nostro Dio; non vinca l’uomo contro di Te”.

“Your eyes, Lord, move to and fro throughout the whole earth that you may strongly support those hearts who are completely Yours. Search my heart.

“Poiché l'Eterno scorre con lo sguardo tutta la terra per sostenere con la sua forza coloro che hanno il cuore integro verso di Lui. Esaminami, o Dio e conosci il mio cuor”.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, and You have readiness to revenge all disobedience when Your obedience is fulfilled.

“In realtà, sebbene viviamo nella carne, non combattiamo secondo la carne; infatti le armi della nostra guerra non sono carnali, ma hanno da Dio il potere di distruggere le fortezze. Poiché demoliamo i ragionamenti e tutto ciò che si eleva orgogliosamente contro la conoscenza di Dio, facendo prigioniero ogni pensiero fino a renderlo ubbidiente a Cristo, sei pronto a punire ogni disubbidienza, quando la vostra ubbidienza sarà completa”.

“O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous. I shall not be afraid of evil tidings; my heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. My heart is established; I shall not be afraid, until I see my desire come upon the enemy.

“Fa’ che cessi la malvagità degli empi, ma sostieni il giusto. Io non temerò cattive notizie; il mio cuore è saldo, fiducioso nel Signore. Il mio cuore è tenace, privo di paure, e alla fine vedrò sui miei nemici quanto desidero”.

“Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. I ask you, Heavenly Father, to rebuke and to bind Satan in the name and through the blood of my Lord Jesus Christ. Hedge up his way with thorns, and build a wall against him so that he cannot find his paths.

“Tutte le cose che legherete sulla terra, saranno legate nel cielo; e tutte le cose che scioglierete sulla terra, saranno sciolte nel cielo. Ti chiedo, Padre celeste, di rimproverare e legare Satana nel nome e attraverso il sangue del mio Signore Gesù Cristo. Sbarra la sua via con delle spine; e circondalo con un muro, cosicché non ritroverà più i suoi sentieri”.

“Abraham hoped against hope, believed in hope, and being not weak in faith, staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. He was fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able to perform.

“Abraamo sperando contro ogni speranza, credette, e senza venir meno alla fede, davanti alla promessa di Dio non vacillò per incredulità, ma fu fortificato nella fede e diede gloria a Dio. Era pienamente convinto che quanto Egli ha promesso, è anche in grado di compierlo”.

“For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope; for what man seeth, why doth he yet hope for it? But if we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage and He will strengthen thine heart, yes, wait on the Lord. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

“Poiché siamo stati salvati nella speranza. Or la speranza di ciò che si vede non è speranza; difatti, quello che uno vede perché lo spererebbe ancora? Ma se speriamo ciò che non vediamo, lo aspettiamo con pazienza. Se non avessi avuto fede di veder la bontà del Signore sulla terra dei viventi, sarei svenuto. Spera nel Signore; sii forte, il tuo cuore si rinfranchi; sí, spera nel Signore. Ma quelli che sperano nel Signore acquistano nuove forze, si alzano a volo come aquile, corrono e non si stancano, camminano e non si affaticano”.

“For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what He hath prepared for him who waiteth for Him. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.”

“Mai si era udito, mai orecchio aveva sentito dire, mai occhio aveva visto che un altro dio, all'infuori di te, agisse in favore di chi spera in lui. Certo, beni e bontà m'accompagneranno tutti i giorni della mia vita; e io abiterò nella casa del Signore per lunghi giorni. Amen.”

“I ask you, Father, to rebuke and bind Satan in the Name and through the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I ask you to build a Hedge of Thorns around my wife so that anyone who is interested in her will lose interest and leave. I base my prayer on the command of Your Word, which says, ‘What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.’ I thank you, Father, for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen.”

“Ti chiedo, Padre, di rimproverare e legare Satana nel nome e attraverso il sangue del Signore Gesù Cristo. Ti chiedo di circondare con una siepe di spine mia moglie, in modo che chiunque sia interessato a lei, perda l’interesse e se ne vada. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

“There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need repentance. Yes, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. For Jesus said, ‘He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone. I do not condemn you; go your way. From now on sin no more.’” Taken from Luke 15.

“Ci sarà più gioia in cielo per un solo peccatore che si ravvede che per novantanove giusti che non hanno bisogno di ravvedimento. Sì, v’è gioia davanti agli angeli di Dio per un solo peccatore che si ravvede. Perchè Gesù disse: «Chi di voi è senza peccato, scagli per primo la pietra contro di lei. Io non ti condanno; va’ e da ora in poi non peccare più»”. Da Luca 15.

“Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my cry, do not be silent at my tears. Put my tears in a bottle, are they not in Thy book? Since I am afflicted and needy, let the Lord be mindful of me. Thou art my help and my deliverer. Do not delay, O my God.” From Psalms 56 and 40.

“O Signore, ascolta la mia preghiera, porgi orecchio al mio grido. Non essere insensibile alle mie lacrime. Metti le mie lacrime nell’otre tuo; non le registri forse nel tuo libro? Poiché io sono misero e povero, ma il Signore ha cura di me. Tu sei il mio aiuto e il mio liberatore; o Dio mio, non tardare”. Da Salmi 56 e 40.

“Though they intend evil against Thee, and devise a plot, they will not succeed. When my enemies turn back they stumble and perish before Thee. Thou hast blotted out their name forever and ever. The very memory of them has perished. Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more. And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. Personal commitment: to battle in the Spirit for my wife and my marriage. “Based on what I have learned from God’s Word, I commit to battling in the Spirit rather than continuing to battle in the flesh. I recognize that when I battle in the flesh I am losing the spiritual battle. Therefore I commit to spending my energy, time and thought life in the spiritual battle for my marriage and family.”

Compromesso personale: combattere nello Spirito per mia moglie e il mio matrimonio. "Sulla base di ciò che ho imparato dalla Parola di Dio, mi impegno a combattere nello Spirito piuttosto che continuare a combattere nella carne. Riconosco che quando combatto nella carne sto perdendo la battaglia spirituale. Perciò mi impegno a spendere la mia energia, il mio tempo e la mia vita di pensiero nella battaglia spirituale per il mio matrimonio e la mia famiglia".
