Therefore everyone who hears these Words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. —Matthew 7:24
Leave your defensive nature behind. Realize that your wife leaving is your fault. Seek to forgive those, so that you may be forgiven, allowing God our Father to heal us. Then surrender all that is you to him. Let him heal you, mold you, then restore your marriage. Making it what it should be as he commands us to love our wives as he loves the church. Our wives are God's gift for us to support and care for. Not ignore.
God promises to be there for us. To help us build our homes back. To restore us to what he designed us for.
