â Today's Promise: "Respect everyone, love other believers, honor God, and respect the Emperor." 1 Peter 2:17
Words of Encouragement
Beloved, last time we spoke about finding rest in the Lord. How are you going with that? Have you been able to let go of your failures, your mistakes, and your situation knowing that God has got it sorted and you don't have to carry it anymore? Donât be so stubborn as to think you can sort this out!
Galations 5;1
Freedom is what we haveâChrist has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again.
Many of us come here with so much condemnation and so much guilt that has been heaped on us sometimes rightly so (see our newsletter on consequences). You have failed and you have to repent. Â Sometimes it will take time for you to let everything go. But as you do this you will see God's hand in your situation.
1 Corinthians 6: 9-11
Or do you not know that the unrighteous] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, Â nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Â And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Lamentations 3: 55-58
From the bottom of the pit, O Lord, I cried out to you,
And when I begged you to listen to my cry, you heard,
You answered me and told me not to be afraid.
If you are connected to our online group, I want to encourage you to give others a rest. Our newest brothers will come in early in the journey in crisis. They will need your encouragement and I will need you to give them rest. If you are further along on the journey, you have probably become matured by the Lord. Â If youâre in the word daily, living out in the Spirit, can you take time today to check on somebody and give them rest?
Please don't take this time to get into fruitless conversations sports, weather, politics ETC. Instead use this time to bring each other back to the Word, to do Bible study together, pray together and sharpen in each other.
Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another
1 Peter 2:17
Respect everyone, love other believers, honor God, and respect the Emperor.
Galatians 6
My friends, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right; but you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourselves, so that you will not be tempted, too. Help carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ. Â If you think you are something when you really are nothing, you are only deceiving yourself. You should each judge your own conduct. If it is good, then you can be proud of what you yourself have done, without having to compare it with what someone else has done. Â For each of you have to carry your own load.
This will become very important as you go along' cause when your wife comes home you will need to be able to give her rest (remember newsletter on conviction). It's not your job to convict her of everything that she's been up to whilst you been apart. The Holy Spirit will do that, your role is to give her rest because you have found rest in the Lord. You cannot give what you donât have!
You have to develop yourself to a point where you know that others are probably not finding rest because then not connected to the Holy Spirit- by choice. But you, dear brother, are connected to the Holy Spirit and you do not have to remind them of everything they have been up to, you have to cover their shame and help them.
Give them rest because you are looking to more  than you. Give other people rest by reminding them to look forward to the future, we don't keep looking back. Be the sort of person who cover somebodyâs sin and failures, welcomes them with a ring a robe and a party!  This is what God does for you and he wants you to do it for others.
Luke 15: 22-24
But the father said to his servants, âBring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate
If we're going to reach the far corners of Mongolia with the gospel and the truth about marriage, it starts with the new guy in the closed groups. Bring them back to the word. Though he is walking through the darkness, though the storm is raging,  encourage him and others to seek the Lord  so they can have rest.
