Fear

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2T17

How many times in life we are fearful. Not knowing where to turn to next. Not knowing what will happen.

I think for men this is one of the biggest issues we face. Be it in our personal lives. In our relationships and even our professional lives.

The bible is so clear in how we handle these situations, so lets break it down.

So what is fear?

an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm.

Now many of us think that the only way around fear is to be brave, but the bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind.

Power in the bible is an inherent characteristic of God.

But what i want to get to is love. Instead of being fearful we. Need to love. Love our spouses. Love our kids. Love unconditionally.

So by having the characteristics of Christ and loving unconditionally will result in a sound mind. And in a sound mind fear has no place to dwell.

Let me end off with this.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1J418
