Sempre com Ele 

Paz e Graça!

O versículo abaixo, talvez muito conhecido por todos aqui, me chamou a atenção hoje: 

“Se vocês ficarem unidos comigo, e as minhas palavras continuarem em vocês, vocês receberão tudo o que pedirem.” João 15:7 (NTLH)

“Vocês receberão tudo o que pedirem”! Já imaginaram o poder desta afirmação? Tudo!!! É uma promessa do próprio Deus através de Seu Filho Amado Jesus, nosso Salvador. Porém, existe uma condição para se obter o tudo de Deus:

“Se vocês ficarem unidos comigo, e as minhas palavras continuarem em vocês”.

Percebem a sutileza do porquê não receber as bênçãos do Pai? Se estivermos unidos à Ele, saberemos o que pedir. Se não tivermos unidos, não pediremos corretamente:

“Vocês querem muitas coisas; mas, como não podem tê-las, estão prontos até para matar a fim de consegui-las. Vocês as desejam ardentemente; mas, como não conseguem possuí-las, brigam e lutam. Não conseguem o que querem porque não pedem a Deus. E, quando pedem, não recebem porque os seus motivos são maus. Vocês pedem coisas a fim de usá-las para os seus próprios prazeres.” Tiago 4:2-3 (NTLH)

Se estivermos unido à Cristo, pediremos e receberemos! É simples! Paremos para refletir quão próximos estamos do Senhor para reconhecer se o que foi apresentado acima tem algum sentido em nossas vidas. Nos momentos em que tivemos mais intimidade com Ele, foram os que fomos mais abençoados/confortados? Não falemos de ausência de luta, pois não é sobre isto:

“Eu digo isso para que, por estarem unidos comigo, vocês tenham paz. No mundo vocês vão sofrer; mas tenham coragem. Eu venci o mundo.” João 16:33 (NTLH)

A mensagem de Jesus é muito clara:

“Jesus disse: — Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e o meu Pai é o lavrador. Todos os ramos que não dão uvas ele corta, embora eles estejam em mim. Mas os ramos que dão uvas ele poda a fim de que fiquem limpos e deem mais uvas ainda. Vocês já estão limpos por meio dos ensinamentos que eu lhes tenho dado. Continuem unidos comigo, e eu continuarei unido com vocês. Pois, assim como o ramo só dá uvas quando está unido com a planta, assim também vocês só podem dar fruto se ficarem unidos comigo. — Eu sou a videira, e vocês são os ramos. Quem está unido comigo e eu com ele, esse dá muito fruto porque sem mim vocês não podem fazer nada.” João 15:1-5 (NTLH)

Assim fica uma reflexão: vamos segui-Lo e confiar no Seu plano ou buscaremos outro caminho que possa nos dar mais conforto? Jesus mesmo fez esta pergunta aos Seus discípulos:

“Jesus continuou: — Foi por esse motivo que eu disse a vocês que só pode vir a mim a pessoa que for trazida pelo Pai. Por causa disso muitos seguidores de Jesus o abandonaram e não o acompanhavam mais. Então ele perguntou aos doze discípulos: — Será que vocês também querem ir embora? Simão Pedro respondeu: — Quem é que nós vamos seguir? O senhor tem as palavras que dão vida eterna! E nós cremos e sabemos que o senhor é o Santo que Deus enviou.” João 6:65-69 (NTLH)

Até hoje, depois de muitos erros e tropeços na minha caminhada, não encontrei nada e nem ninguém que pudesse fazer por nós o que Jesus fez e faz.

O desejo do meu coração, neste dia, é que vocês possam ser encontrados por Ele e serem Amados como nunca foram antes! Eu peço à Ti Pai, em nome de Jesus, Amém!

Deus abençoe você e toda a sua família, em nome de Jesus! Amém!

Always with Him

Peace and Grace!

The verse below, perhaps very well known by everyone here, caught my attention today :

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." John 15:7 (NIV)

"You will receive everything you ask for"! Have you ever imagined the power of this statement? Everything!!! It is a promise from God Himself through His Beloved Son Jesus, our Savior. However, there is a condition to obtain everything from God:

"If you stay united with me, and my words remain in you".

Do you realize the subtlety of why not receive the Father's blessings? If we are united with Him, we will know what to ask for. If we are not united, we will not correctly ask for:

"You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." James 4:2-3 (NIV)

If we are united with Christ, we will ask and receive! It's simple! Let us stop to reflect on how close we are to the Lord to recognize whether the above has any meaning in our lives. In the moments when we were more intimate with Him, were we the ones who were most blessed / comforted? Let us not speak of an absence of struggle, for this is not what it is about:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 (NIV)

Jesus' message is very clear:

""I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."" John 15:1-5 (NIV)

So there is a reflection: will we follow Him and trust in His plan or will we look for another way that can give us more comfort? Jesus himself asked this question to His disciples:

"He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God."" John 6:65-69 (NIV)

Nowadays, after many mistakes and stumbles in my journey, I have found nothing and no one who could do for us what Jesus did and does.

My heart's desire on this day is for you to be found by Him and to be loved like never before! I ask You Father, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
